Dr. Emma
PT, DPT
PT, DPT An East Coast native, Dr. Emma earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in Portland, Maine.
She grew up in New Hampshire, where an active childhood of competitive sports, hiking, and time on Lake Winnipesaukee shaped her lifelong commitment to movement and performance. As a former collegiate soccer and lacrosse player, Dr. Emma brings a deep understanding of athletic demands, injury recovery, and return-to-sport progression into her clinical practice.
Dr. Emma has experience treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries, as well as neurologic and vestibular conditions, across outpatient, hospital-based, and adaptive sports settings. Her clinical background includes acute, overuse, and chronic orthopedic and sports-related injuries; post-operative care and return-to-sport rehabilitation; as well as experience working with balance and vestibular disorders, neurologic conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson’s disease, and patients with complex medical presentations.
In addition to traditional orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, Emma brings a unique perspective from nearly two decades working in adaptive sports, including biking, skiing, and hippotherapy for children and adults with disabilities. She has also led Rock Steady Boxing classes for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, emphasizing neuroplasticity, strength, and functional independence.
Dr. Emma’s background as a dual-sport collegiate athlete and high school preparatory lacrosse coach informs her athlete-centered, performance-minded approach. She blends evidence-based rehabilitation with progressive loading, movement quality, and long-term resilience. Whether working with competitive athletes, active adults, or individuals navigating neurologic, vestibular, or complex medical challenges, she prioritizes thoughtful assessment, individualized programming, and lasting results.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Emma enjoys strength training, hiking, and running with her dog, Sully – embracing the same active lifestyle she encourages in her patients.
