Christine Suarez
Christine is a Polestar trained and nationally certified Pilates instructor. She brings 20 years as a professional dancer and somatic practitioner into her Pilates instruction with patients and clients.
Her skills and experience allow her to facilitate healing while building strength and creating flexibility. Her approach balances mindfulness and rigor. Her personal practice of Pilates was a big part of her recovery from years of chronic back pain. She brings that knowledge, compassion and curiosity to her work. Her dedication to her own Pilates practice as well as her commitment to continuing education and her work in the rehab setting along-side Elevate physical therapists, strengthen her eye for detail and allow her to tailor sessions to each clients’ fitness, sport performance, & rehabilitative needs.
Her expertise, along with her attentive listening, encouragement, and infectious enthusiasm, support clients of all levels to develop their bodies’ strength, flexibility and awareness, while providing a challenging and fun workout.
As a dancer, dance educator, and Pilates instructor, she has taught in many different settings with diverse communities. She has taught courses at UCLA, Cal State LA and Santa Ana College and has been a guest instructor at over a dozen universities all over the US. She has also partnered with community organizations working with high school students in alternative schools and juvenile halls, people experiencing homelessness and older adults.
